Script Editor, Development Assistant, Storyteller & Creator

I’m a creative programmes and talent development professional with 5+ years’ experience across the screen industries and wider cultural sector, with a particular focus on Yorkshire.

I currently develop and deliver funded creative programmes, supporting emerging artists and content creators from idea to delivery. At The Unit in Bradford, I lead the 3-Month Content Sprint, working with Channel 4, Bradford Council and local creative communities. Alongside this, I deliver talent development activity at Screen Yorkshire, supporting emerging writers and filmmakers through initiatives including Script Ed and the Mayor’s Script Diversity Programme.

My work has given me a strong understanding of the opportunities and barriers facing emerging artists, alongside experience in programme development, partnerships, budgets, events, workshops, access and evaluation. I’m particularly interested in creating sustainable, inclusive pathways into the creative industries.

I also bring a strong editorial and script development background. I worked at Emmerdale from 2021, developing experience across script editing, story and editorial coordination, before training as a script editor through Screen Yorkshire’s Script Ed programme and completing a placement with RED Productions in Manchester. I have since read and assessed projects for production companies including Euston Films, Duck Soup and 42, as well as Forage Literary, WFTV’s Kay Mellor Screenwriters’ Lab 2025 and New Writing North/Channel 4 2026.

As a writer, my script Beyond the Limb was selected in the top 5% of approximately 2,000 applicants to the 2025 Channel 4 New Writers Scheme.

 My work has been performed at venues including the Everyman Theatre, Theatre 53two, The Cockpit Theatre, Ye Old Rose & Crown, Chapel FM and Leeds Playhouse. In 2024, I was long listed for the Rope Ladder Regional Breakthrough Writers Programme (ScreenSkills & Dandi) and the Access Northern Writers' Programme (Warner Bros, Wall to Wall, and The Royal Court). I’m currently supported by The Writing Squad and New Writing North’s Script Hub, funded by Channel 4.

My film work has screened at Screentest: The National Student Film Festival (London), Girls on Film Festival (Newcastle), and the Feminist Festival (Mexico). In 2025, my short film script HELD was shortlisted for consideration by Old Swan Films.

I’ve also collaborated on creative projects with institutions including Yorkshire Dance, The Performance Ensemble, Canal Connections, and Leeds College of Music. I have a strong commitment to the arts and cultural sector, which I believe is a vital tool for connection and social change.
